Jamie Laing left Lorraine Kelly completely gobsmacked on Tuesday as he revealed a tattoo of the ITV presenter’s face on his arm during her daytime show.
The former Made In Chelsea star, 35, revealed he got the inking to manifest a career in live TV the same as Lorraine, 63.
The TV host looked shocked as she admitted she was ‘astonished’ and ‘honoured’ with the artwork before Jamie revealed it was all a prank.
Lorraine said: ‘You did not you did not. It’s really bad. You are incorrigible.’
Jamie replied: ‘Oh no I am really embarrassed. Do you think its bad?’
‘It’s lovely, I am honoured. I did not expect that. That is quite astonishing,’ she added.
Later in the segment, Jamie, who was joined by wife Sophie Habboo to promote their new podcast tour NewlyWeds, joked once again: ‘I’m now going to tell you the truth, by the way its real.’
The prank prompted Ross King and Andi Peters to also joke that they too had tattoos of Lorraine in ‘special places’.
The prank comes after Jamie and Sophie shared a huge announcement six months after their stunning wedding nuptials.
Jamie tied the knot with his co-star girlfriend, 29, in two ceremonies earlier this year, including a picturesque location ceremony in Spain.
The pair have gained a loyal fanbase for their hilarious and down-to-earth depictions of married life, explored in their podcast Newlyweds.
The happy couple have shared an update on how their marriage is going six months after tying the knot and have announced some exciting news.
Jamie and Sophie shared earlier this month that Newlyweds will be going on tour, in what they have called their ‘second honeymoon’.
Sharing the news with MailOnline, Jamie sweetly admitted he and Sophie have the ‘best time together’ and are excited to bring the podcast to the stage.
He said: ‘It’s no secret that I adore Sophie and have always thought she was hilarious, but it’s been amazing for everyone else to see just how brilliant and funny she is through the podcast.
‘We have the best time together. And even though we’ve known each other for ages and have been married for over six months now, it’s really lovely to still keep learning new things about each other.’
Sophie added: ‘After all the planning and excitement in the run up to the wedding, we’re really enjoying settling into married life.
‘I wasn’t sure if it would feel different when we were husband and wife but it just feels like it always has, which is really lovely.
‘I know this sounds really cliché but we can’t wait to be old and grey, but the pranks will never stop!’
The smash-hit podcast has seen clips on TikTok reach over 35 million likes, as the two share their hilarious experiences navigating married life leaving no stone unturned.
The Tour will be full of ‘side-splitting stories, audience participation, mystery guests and messages from listeners’.
Jamie and Sophie have confirmed dates in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Dublin for 2024.
