ITV Britain’s’ Got Talent viewers call for series to ‘end now’ after being ‘blown away’ by ‘winner’

Britain’s Got Talent returned with its first round of live semi finals on Monday night (May 27). Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli returned to the panel to judge eight performers who were vying to make it to this weekend’s final.

However viewers have called to ‘end the series’ already as they reckon this year’s winner has already been uncovered. Monday night saw a range of acts take to the stage, including roller skating duo Startdust, 10-year-old dancer Trey Brain and air guitarist Sven Smith.

But it was dancing dogs and their owner The Trickstars, Ssaulabi Performance Troupe and opera singer Innocent Masuku who made it to the top three. Innocent was the semi-final winner, being sent straight through to Sunday night’s final.

The judges had to choose who to send to the final between The Trickstars and Ssaulabi Performance Troupe. The four unanimously voted for Ssaulabi Performance Troupe.

But viewers reckon the winner of the whole show has already been found. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, fans couldn’t stop singing Innocent’s praises. The South African, who now lives in London with his wife, stunned with his rendition of Hans Zimmer’s Now We Are Free from Gladiator in the semi-final. In his audition, he sang Lucio Dalla’s Caruso.
