Isle of Man TT Thursday Practice Cancelled

The 2024 Isle of Man TT Thursday Practice has been cancelled due to a road traffic collision on the Mountain Road.

Roads were due to close at 18:00, with the first session getting underway for the Superbike, Superstock, and Supersport classes at 18:30, but the Clerk of the Course has confirmed all of Thursday’s practice has been cancelled due to the aforementioned road traffic collision.

A statement published on the Isle of Man TT’s official social media channels reads: “Due to a road traffic collision that occurred on the Mountain Course, the Clerk of The Course has confirmed that this evening’s qualifying session is now cancelled to allow the appropriate services to manage the incident.”

The cancellation of Thursday’s sessions follows the cancellation of all the practice sessions on Tuesday due to bad weather.

The two days of cancellations means that there have only been two days of practice so far, with only Friday remaining before the first race day on Saturday (Sidecar Race 1, Supersport Race 1).

Of the practice that has been run so far, Peter Hickman has been fastest in the Superstock class, Davey Todd the fastest in Superbike, and Michael Dunlop fastest in Supersport. Jamie Coward was the fastest Supertwin rider on Wednesday evening, and both Sidecars sessions were topped by the Crowe brothers.
