The Royal Box at Wimbledon is where the most prestigious guests at the tennis tournament take their seats, including members of the Royal Family and in particular Princess Kate.
The Princess of Wales is especially invested in the competition as she is patron of the All England Tennis and Croquet Club and traditionally hands out the winners’ trophies.
If she does attend this year, she will be seated in the Royal Box, and anyone else lucky enough to bag themselves a seat there will be treated to the full VIP experience.
Most of the day revolves around tennis and food, with welcome drinks and coffee being served on the balcony before the matches begin alongside luxury chocolates.
Photographs may be taken in the Royal Box but only before other guests arrive, so sadly there are few opportunities to get a selfie with Kate.
For lunch, guests can expect the very best spread of hot and cold dishes, from lobster tail and luxury cuts of meat and seafood such as Halibut.
Strawberries and cream are then served for dessert (what else?), although there is also the option to tuck into some Peach crémeux and a selection of cheeses.
Afternoon tea is taken on the balcony before guests return to watch the rest of the tennis, with celebrities such as Bear Grylls, David Beckham and Carole and Michael Middleton already being spotted in the Royal Box this year.
But the Royal Box is not the only luxury suite available in SW19, as a source gave Express.co.uk the lowdown: “The best areas to be in at Wimbledon are without doubt the Evian suite, Ralph Lauren’s box and the Champagne Lanson suite.
“But THE place to be seen is without doubt the Royal Box, where past Wimbledon champions and celebrities sit alongside members of the Royal Family.
“The Evian suite has been a massive draw for VIPs looking to cool off during the tennis since 2008. Guests are treated to canapes, champagne and prime seats in Court One or Centre Court to watch the matches.
“Lady Kitty Spencer, the Middletons and other society figures have all been spotted in the enclosure through the years.”
The Evian Suite has served up Pimms to several celebrities in previous years, including Natalie Dormer, Jack Whitehall, Ellie Goulding and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
Luxury American clothing label Ralph Lauren also has a suite at Wimbledon, with the brand also hosting an annual lunch in celebration of the tournament – last year Sienna Miller, Lila Moss and Malala all attended.
The Champagne Lanson Suite entertained guests such as Dermot O’Leary and Hannah Waddingham on Wednesday, where they tucked into an impressive spread including hand rolled tomato aranchi, Wimbledon coronation chicken and lemon tart, naturally washed down with a glass of champagne.
