There were plenty of encouraging performances from Chelsea players during this international break while away representing their nations. In fact, one Blues star has now received big praise from both Ian Maatsen and Carney Chukwuemeka for what they’ve just done for their country.
The Blues squad is reuniting and preparing for Saturday’s home match versus Burnley in the Premier League.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are still within touching distance of the European positions, but they’ll need to find a new level of consistency to salvage what’s been a poor league campaign so far.
Thankfully, several individuals should return to Stamford Bridge buoyed by their international performances.
For Blues winger Noni Madueke, he’s just done something brilliant for the England’s Under-21s side.
Madueke was on fire for England’s U21s in a 7-0 win over Luxembourg on Tuesday night, scoring two goals and creating two assists.
The Blues attacker managed three goals across his two appearances during the break. Speaking via England’s YouTube channel yesterday, Conor Coady described Madueke as “fantastic” against Luxembourg.

Unleash Noni Madueke against Burnley
It’s a different kind of test trying to replicate his England U21 form into Premier League games, but Madueke possesses the quality to impact this Chelsea side in the final third.
The left-footed youngster is in and out of the Blues XI because the consistency isn’t there yet. However, he’s got a raw talent and we should be getting more from the £29 million man (Sky Sports).
Our message to Pochettino is to start Madueke this weekend at home to Burnley. Let’s give him the creative licence to go express himself off the back of an England masterclass!
Burnley have conceded 63 league goals and counting this season, so we should be attacking them at home.
