Introduced in the Generation 5 games, Sawk is the counterpart to Throh. Sawk is a Fighting-type creature who doesn’t evolve into any other Pokemon.
Typically, Sawk can only be found in Europe, Asia, and Australia, while Throh can be encountered in North America, South America, and Africa. The two ‘mons are part of Pokemon Go’s region-exclusive list, alongside others like the different flower forms of Flabébé.

However, the Raging Battles event has included Sawk and Throh as available wild spawns. Here’s how you can get them.
How to get Sawk in Pokemon Go
To have a chance at catching Sawk, you must log onto Pokemon Go during the Raging Battles event. This runs from Friday, January 19, 2024, at 10 AM until Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 8 PM local time.

During this time, Sawk and Throh appear more frequently in the wild regardless of your region. Raging Battles also marks the Pokemon Go debut of Annihilape, the final evolution of Mankey.

Can Sawk be Shiny in Pokemon Go?
Yes, Pokemon Go players are available to catch the Shiny version of Sawk. Therefore, you may encounter one in the wild during the Raging Battles event. You also have the chance to find the Shiny form of Throh.
