WINTRY weather has caused disruption to the weekend Scottish football card – with no fewer than ELEVEN matches already called off due to the overnight snowfall and sub-zero temperatures.
Parts of Scotland reached a bone-chilling -10C last night – with the plunging temperatures set to continue.
Some showers will also work their way into southern and western areas of Scotland with some at risk of turning into sleet or even snow.
In the top flight, Livingston’s clash with Ross County has bitten the dust – despite the match set to be played on the artificial surface on West Lothian.
Down the divisions there’s no fewer than EIGHT games scrapped already – with the possibility of more to follow.
Elsewhere there’s frantic efforts to get snow cleared off pitches across the country.

Bosses at Hamilton Accies are frantically attempting to clear the snow from the pitch to allow their clash with Queen of the South to go ahead.
They wrote on social media this morning: “We are currently trying to clear the pitch of snow and will update again in due course.
“However any locals with snow shovels are welcome to assist!”
The same applied at Stenhousemuir’s Ochilview Stadium, where the work of volunteers helped the match PASS an 11am pitch inspection.
Chairman Iain McMenemy wrote: “We have around 35 volunteers helping get the pitch playable. A great supporter & community effort.”
And here’s SunSport’s at-a-glance guide to the pitch inspections and postponements across the country.
