Now, Toby plays the recurring character Poseidon, the father of Percy Jackson, in the series which premiered in December 2023 and has been airing weekly.
Toby appeared in the penultimate episode, and fans are anticipating a repeat in Tuesday’s series finale, the eighth episode overall.
Walker Scobell stars as Percy, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, Percy’s best friend.
Percy’s mother is Sally Jackson (Virginia Kull), Poseidon’s human ex-lover.

The series follows two films – The Lightning Thief (2010) and Sea Of Monsters (2013) – each starring Logan Lerman as Percy.

His last film appearance was in 2018 American action thriller Hunter Killer, alongside Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman.
Later in 2024, Toby, the son of Maggie Smith, is due to appear in ongoing British crime series McDonald & Dodds on ITV.
Toby is married to New Zealander actress Anna-Louise Plowman who has starred in Holby City. Together they have Eli, 16, Tallulah, 14, and Kura, 13.
