Feyenoord technical director Dennis te Kloese is confident that Arne Slot will remain with the Eredivisie club despite recently being linked with a move to Liverpool.
The Reds remain in the market for a new manager after Jurgen Klopp confirmed in January that he would leave the club at the end of the season. Xabi Alonso and Ruben Amorim had been the early favourites to replace the German at Anfield, only for the Spaniard to announce that he would stay put at Bayer Leverkusen. Meanwhile, reports on Monday claimed that Amorim was now unlikely to become the next Liverpool manager.
Prior to such reports, Slot had found himself linked with the impending Liverpool vacancy over the last few days. Impressing the Netherlands, he won the Eredivisie title with Feyenoord last year, before lifting the KNVB Cup last weekend.

The 45-year-old had been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur last year, only to sign a new contract with the Dutch club until 2026. And having retained Slot’s services despite previous Premier League interest, Te Kloese is confident Feyenoord can do so again.
“I think it is logical that he is in such a good position,” Te Kloese told ESPN, as quoted by VI. ‘It is very special how he has manifested himself in recent years and has really given Feyenoord a face.
“We responded by extending his contract. In any case, we assume that he will also be our trainer next year.
“We have experienced this situation before and will take good care of our own interests.”
