Collision happened near caravan dealership

The collision happened just up the road from Stowford Leisure caravan dealership. The road runs parallel to the A4119 bypass and joins the bypass at a roundabout going on to Llantrisant.

The road between Coedely and Llantrisant is known locally as “stink pot hill” and has been under major construction for the last several months to turn the road into a dual carriageway. It has caused a lot of travel problems in the area, most recently over the last two years when a section of the road had to be closed for urgent repairs after heavy rainfall caused a sink in the road.
