Cara Delevingne was comforted by her parents on Friday night after her $7million mansion in Los Angeles was destroyed in a huge blaze.

The model, 35, looked devastated as she departed The Kit Kat Club theatre in London after performing in her West End show.

Holding her hand to her head the British star cut a casual figure in a black coat while sat in the back of a car with several bags and her mum, Pandora.

Cara was not staying at her LA home at the time of the dramatic blaze as she is currently in the UK playing Sally Bowles in Cabaret on London’s West End.

The dramatic blaze tore apart her property in the early hours of Friday morning and after fearing her two cats had perished in the fire, Cara took to her Instagram to confirm that her pets had in fact been saved by firefighters.

Cara’s parents, Pandora and Charles, were in line to enter the Kit Kat theatre before the show commenced when approached by TMZ.

At one point, the interviewer asked the pair, ‘Do you know what caused the fire?’ to which her father replied with, ‘Electrical.’ Her mother also added that her daughter was ‘devastated.’

Cara’s $7million mansion in Studio City, California is said to have been engulfed by flames that had spread to the attic, causing extreme damage to the expensive property.

A total of 94 firefighters showed up to fight the blaze arriving in 13 different engines.

It is believed that the blaze started in a backroom of the property, but it is currently unknown how the fire started.

Images obtained by DailyMail.com reveal that entire parts of the roof have now collapsed due to the fire.

DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for the model.

It is said to have taken firefighters almost two hours to get the fire fully contained with at least one person injured, though it is not yet clear who.

TMZ claims that one firefighter fell from a ladder while trying to put out the blaze and was injured.

One person who was staying at Cara’s home was also said to have been treated for smoke inhalation.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Cara bought her her 8,000-square-foot mansion for $7 million in 2019.

Cara previously owned a Hollywood home with her sister Poppy Delevingne that they bought from actor Jared Leto – and then sold to singer Usher for $3.4million in September 2022.

Cara – who is dating the musical artist Minke and has overcome some personal struggles recently – has been open about her commitment to sobriety recently, after years of partying lead to her having a stint in rehab.

While Cara has already carved out a name for herself in the acting world having appeared in films such as Anna Karenina, Paper Towns, Suicide Squad and Tulip Fever, Cabaret marks her West End debut.

Playing Sally Bowles – made famous by Liza Minnelli in the 1972 film version – Cara is following in the footsteps of Oscar-nominated Jessie Buckley who previously played the role.

She appears alongside Olivier award-winning Luke Treadaway – who is starring as The Emcee in the iconic play.

It was announced last month that Cara was set to take the role as she said at the time: ‘there are no words to explain her excitement’.

The duo will be performing for three whole months from March 11 right up until June 1 2024.

Cara and Luke have taken over from Jake Shears and Rebecca Lucy, who finished their run on the March 9.

Speaking about her exciting new stint, Cara said: ‘There are no words to explain the excitement I have to return home to make my stage debut in such an iconic role.

‘I am so inspired by the brilliant actors who have played Sally in past productions around the world and in this one in the West End.

‘I cannot wait to be a part of this brilliant cast and production.’

Luke added: ‘I can’t wait to become a member of the Kit Kat Club and join this extraordinary production. It’s a huge thrill to be asked to take this on and I’m very excited to get started.’
