Donald Trump is the “lesser of two evils” in what appears to be a two-horse race for the presidency between him and Joe Biden, according to Dr Taylor Marshall.
The 77-year-old is vying for a second term in what is shaping up to be a rematch between him and Biden, having been on the losing side of the 2020 election.
He remains the frontrunner in the race for the Republican nomination despite facing multiple legal battles, which appear to be his only hindrance in securing the bid.
Speaking on GB News, political commentator Dr Taylor Marshall was critical of Trump’s “beyond tolerant” LGBT agenda, but claimed his record on matters like foreign policy speaks for itself.

He told Mark Dolan the former President has also “not been consistently pro-life” in the abortion debate.
“I threw out a presidential candidacy attempt this year because not that I thought I would beat out Donald Trump”, he said.

“I wanted to throw my hat into the ring and say some of the deficiencies in Trump’s campaign.
“I think number one is although he did appoint the judges to reverse the Roe V Wade regarding abortion, the right for abortion, he’s not been as consistently pro-life as I think most Republicans and most Christians would like.
“He’s also beyond tolerant when it comes to the LGBT agenda, I think that bothers some people.”
Marshall went on to praise the former president in certain regards, saying issues in Afghanistan and Ukraine would have been averted had he remained in situ.

He said: “I have little doubt in my mind that if he was still president, we would not have had the disaster in Afghanistan and this conflict in Ukraine would not have been as escalated as it is.
“I don’t think we would have this Israel-Palestinian conflict at all if Trump were in power because he ruled with strength. He was very clear.
“I think the enemies of our nation see Joe Biden and the democrats as weak and an opportunity to take up space and to move their agenda.”
Trump has faced criticism from the White House in recent days with President Joe Biden suggesting he was using rhetoric echoing that heard in Nazi Germany.
He spoke about Trump calling his political opponents “vermin” during a rally at the weekend.
A campaign spokesperson for the former President hit back, saying Biden’s accusation was “despicable”.
“We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country,” Trump told supporters on Saturday in New Hampshire as the US marked Veterans Day.
“Our threat is from within,” he added.
