Devon funeral notices: Emotional tribute after amazing dad, 60, dies suddenly

Another wave of tributes has been left to lost loved ones in this week’s death and funeral notices. Among them is Leonard ‘Len’ Winsor, who died suddenly earlier this month at the age of 60. They say he was a “much loved husband, an amazing dad, son, brother and special grandad.”

Announcing the deaths of cherished members of our community is a longstanding tradition in local news. Last week, the funeral notices included a tribute to “cherished son and brother” Peter Vickery from Exeter who died at the age of 63.

After a long illness bravely fought, passed peacefully away at his home Lyndhurst, Boyton on 13th June 2024, aged 61 years. Peacefully on 14th June 2024, Cliff, aged 87 years of Burlawn, fell asleep, surrounded by his family. Loving husband of Eckla, dad of Mark and Jana, grandad and great grandad. Passed away on 16th June at North Devon District Hospital. A devoted husband to Marian, loving father to Daniel & Sally-Ann and much loved grandad to Harry & Joseph. He will be sorely missed. Passed away peacefully at Fremington Manor Care Home on 23rd June 2024, aged 98 years.
