Darts fans were treated to a stunning weekend of action at Alexandra Palace.
There was a major upset, with Fallon Sherrock sent tumbling out of the competition following a 3-1 defeat to Jermaine Wattimena.
Luke Humphries, who has won three televised titles in two months, defeated Lee Evans.
And Gerwyn Price has sensationally revealed he wants darts bosses to ditch Alexandra Palace as the venue for the tournament. GB News now looks at four of the biggest headlines from the weekend.
Sherrock ‘gutted’

Sherrock was one of the favourites to win the tournament.
However, the 29-year-old was eliminated with Wattimena causing a major upset.
Speaking after her defeat, Sherrock said: “Obviously, I’m gutted with the result.
“I had spells when I played well tonight but I missed chances at key moments and they cost me.
“Full credit to Jermaine, he was the better player on the night and he punished me when I missed chances.”
Price wants Palace ditched
Price feels darts should become more of a global sport, which would mean moving matches away from Alexandra Palace.
“I think it’s only right that the tournament should move to different parts of the world, and then I’ll have a better chance,” he said.
“Germany is becoming a huge market for the PDC and darts is growing massively all over Europe, so if they were to move it to Germany, Holland, Ireland, Scotland, Wales or Belgium I don’t see any reason why they can’t host it.
“I know darts has a lot of history invested in Ally Pally, but things change and you have to move on and move with the times.
“It used to be at the Circus Tavern, and with the way the game is going, and the strength in depth in all corners of the world, I think the tournament needs to have a new home now.
“Just change it up and make the game a bit fairer. The effect of a home crowd does help. I know it’s hard to get a level playing field, but it’s more even if you get equal opportunities.”
Humphries delighted
Humphries wasn’t at his best during his 3-0 win over Evans.
But the third seed for the tournament was delighted at winning their showdown and progressing to the second round.
“I was not at my best but the most important thing is it felt good, and the first game is always the toughest,” he said.
“I am through to the next round and I won’t play the same in the next round.
“I am not disappointed because I won 3-0 which is what I wanted.
“I feel like that is the hardest game in the whole tournament to get through, so I’m happy and in the next game I will be so much better than that.”

“It’s a bit of a strange one,” he said.
“Obviously, I’m a massive Oasis fan, I love the song, but since I’ve had it as my walk on I’ve hated it.

“But the crowd love it and that’s what it’s all about. Especially at Christmas as well.”
