Dancing On Ice 2024 LIVE — Holly Willoughby returns to present as Greg Rutherford joins cast & show start time revealed

Meet the cast: Amber Davies

Self-confessed adrenaline-junkie Amber Davies is taking a break from entertaining theatre-goers to star in Dancing On Ice.

The former Love Island winner has fulfilled her dream of becoming an actress and has worked with country music legend Dolly Parton and played Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman: The Musical.

Announcing the news of her casting on Dancing On Ice, Amber said: “I would definitely say that I’m an adrenaline junkie but I do get more nervous as I get older and I hope that I can contain them, I don’t want the adrenaline to get the better of me.”

She added: “I can count on one hand how many times I’ve ice skated.”

Meet the cast: Greg Rutherford

Long jump star Greg Rutherford – who won gold in 2020 – is hoping to impress his three children with his Dancing On Ice appearance.

Ahead of his debut on the series the athlete excitedly told fans he was aiming to perform a trick that’s “never been done before” on the show.

Greg said: “My kids love dancing around so hopefully they are going to enjoy watching me dance with blades on my feet!

“I think this is going to be a really different experience but one that will be quite exciting.”

Meet the cast: Lou Sanders

Comedian and writer Lou Sanders was the eighth celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the 2024 series of Dancing on Ice.

She has said the competition is her “dream thing to do”.

Revealing the news of her spot on the cast to Nihal Arthanayake on Radio Five Live, Lou said: “I’m nervous about cracking my head open, or just bashing the old head.

“I can’t afford to lose any more brain cells.

She added: “I’m also worried about my partner picking me up, he’s going to have to be very strong and very brave.”

Lou is best known for appearing on shows including Mock The Week and 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Meet the cast: Ricky Norwood

Norwood was axed from EastEnders in 2015 after a controversial video of him was leaked online.

But now, after spiralling into depression and disappearing from the industry, Ricky is making a return to TV on Dancing On Ice.

Ahead of his debut on the skating rink, he said: “I’m apprehensive about the lifts, especially the headbanger.

“I’ve got to trust in the process, trust in the training, trust in the trainers.”

Ricky played Arthur “Fatboy” Chubb on EastEnders but was dramatically killed off in a car crash in 2015.

Meet the cast: Claire Sweeney

Actress Claire Sweeney is just one of this year’s soap stars who will work to secure viewers’ votes to stay in the competition.

She has been on telly for more than three decades after starting her career in Brookside.

Claire recently returned to the soap world, joining Coronation Street as Cassandra Plummer who is Tyrone Dobbs’ biological mum.

Single mum Claire has said she signed up for doing Dancing On Ice for her eight-year-old son.

She said: “I’m really looking forward to going to an ice rink with my son and actually being able to skate and not have to use the penguins they give you to help you stay upright!”

Meet the cast: Hannah Spearritt

Fans were left gutted when it was revealed Hannah Spearritt wouldn’t be joining S Club 7 on tour, so no doubt they will be glad to have her back on their TV screens.

The 90s pop star suffered heartache following the sudden death of her ex-boyfriend and bandmate Paul Cattermole in April 2023.

But the star has kept herself busy by focusing on learning how to skate in front of millions.

“I’m really excited about learning a new skill,” she said ahead of Dancing On Ice’s return.
