Al-Nassr are planning talks this summer to extend Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract, talkSPORT understands.
The Portugal superstar’s current deal expires in 2025 and it’s believed discussions could see it increased by 12 months.
Ronaldo is believed to be open to the extra year, and it would see him play until he’s at least 41.
This could hand him a chance at playing at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
It would also allow him a shot at breaking numerous records including most all-time appearances, currently held by on-pitch rival Lionel Messi (26).
Ronaldo’s contract extension will be handled centrally, and it is viewed as important to keep Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League for the first year of the next TV rights cycle, which is up for renewal in 2025.

Any new deal would also come with an additional pay rise.
The 39-year-old’s current salary is €200million (£156.6m) with bonuses on top.
Ronaldo is continuing to smash records out in the Saudi Pro League.
Two goals in Al Nassr’s final game of the season saw him become the highest single-season goalscorer in SPL history.
He’s netted 35 times this campaign, beating Abderrazak Hamdallah’s 34 goals in the 2019/20 season.
Meanwhile, he’s now become the first player in history to four different top flights – the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A and the Saudi Pro League.
That comes after his spells with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus prior to joining Al Nassr.
Ronaldo is also part of Portugal’s Euro 2024 squad where he will want to claim the trophy he won in 2016 for a second time.
He’ll also be targeting numerous records in Germany.
