Celebrity Big Brother boots two housemates in shocking double eviction

We’ve had our first double eviction of this year’s Celebrity Big Brother and some bold claims have been made in those juicy post-eviction interviews…

Louis Walsh, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, David Potts, Levi Roots, and Fern Britton all found themselves on the chopping block following brutal face-to-face nominations earlier this week.

Former X Factor judge Louis, 71, managed to get himself a whopping eight nominations, Ekin-Su received four nominations, while David, Fern and Levi all received two each.

It was almost impossible to predict the outcome, but the first housemate to be evicted was Dragons’ Den star Levi, who left the famous compound to rapturous applause from the crowd.

Ekin-Su was then evicted, having been majorly booed by the audience initially due to her behaviour in previous episodes, which fans blasted as ‘fake’.

Speaking to AJ Odudu and Will Best during her exit interview on spin-off Late & Live, Ekin-Su said she felt her CBB housemates did not think she was being herself.

‘I don’t think people knew that I was being myself, and I don’t think people connected with me as if I was being myself,’ she said.

The 29-year-old added that she felt that ‘is fair’ because of her stint on Love Island, but added that ‘you should never judge a person on their past’.

She said: ‘You can’t predict life and just because I won Love Island doesn’t mean you win every show.

‘Just because you win once doesn’t mean you win another one and another one, just because you have a fan base.’

Ekin-Su insisted she was being herself in the house, admitting she ‘forgot’ the show was a competition.

She also argued it was ‘sad’ that Marisha Wallace – with whom she came to blows after nominations – ‘had it in the back of her mind’ constantly about reaching and final and winning.

‘I always saw her as a friend, I didn’t see her as a competitor like she saw me,’ Ekin-Su added.

‘I have nothing negative to say.’

It didn’t take long for presenter AJ to call out the inconsistencies in what Ekin-Su was saying, given how she nominated Louis despite being close to him as well.

‘For different reasons,’ she argued. ‘The reason I voted for Louis that most people don’t know, is that in there Louis wasn’t happy. He wanted to go home, so I felt sorry for him because they picked on him in there.

‘I thought, do you know what? You’re better off going home.’

Will asked whether she told this directly to Louis, to which Ekin-Su insisted she did.

‘He seemed surprised and he seems to be having more fun this week,’ Will suggested.

‘(If it wasn’t face-to-face) I wouldn’t have nominated him because it’s been understood differently and he knows, I know, why I nominated him. I saw him unhappy there and that was it.’

When it came to Levi’s interview, the businessman was very self-aware when he was quizzed on why he had been evicted.

Levi recalled his heated moment with soap star Colson Smith, doubling down to AJ and Will that Colson ‘was really boring’ early on in the show.

‘I was just trying to express to him that he’d overcome the situation and was a new person, maybe I chose the wrong word.’

Levi also spoke about his own nominations, cheekily saying David was a ‘flaccid’ member who ‘divided the house’ with his ‘strong personality’ and being ‘the greediest person in there’.

He added that ‘there was an ageist thing going on’ in the house: ‘On my squad it was Ekin-Su, it was Louis, it was Marisha, and Zeze.’

Reflecting on his time, he added: ‘I’ve never cried so much in my life, it seems like I was in tears at all times.

‘I said I missed my mum, I think Sharon (Osbourne) being in the house, (she) was the sort of person that brought back as if my mum was there, every time I saw her I wanted to break down.

‘You strip away all your barriers that would have kept you this hard Rasta man in there, and I found myself to not be so hard and tough.’

It’s been a dramatic week in the CBB house, to say the least.

We had Real Housewives of Cheshire star Lauren Simon as the second evictee on Tuesday, before celebrity lodger Sharon Osbourne bid an emotional farewell – no, we’re still not over it.

And it seems, following Sharon’s departure, the house erupted into chaos, with some harsh words exchanged in the aftermath of the funfair and nominations during the Kissing Booth.

Ekin-Su broke down in tears after Broadway star Marisha admitted to seeing her as competition for the win, hence her reason for nominating her.

It didn’t take long for viewers to accuse Love Island star Ekin-Su of ‘gameplaying’, especially given how she put Louis up for eviction after being pals with him, yet bursting into tears when the tables were turned in the Marisha situation.

Louis also caught heat for his ‘laziness’ from, well, pretty much the whole house, with viewers calling for his eviction due to putting ex-clients on blast, from Jedward to Ronan Keating.

We then had Coronation Street favourite Colson beefing with Levi, after Levi confessed to previously considering Colson ‘boring’.

Colson was defended by viewers after rushing to the bathroom in tears, while his house pals Nikita Kuzmin and Bradley Riches were on hand for a wholesome cuddle.

With just one week left until the CBB 2024 final, will the housemates be able to heal those cracks? Or will fresh issues arise…

Celebrity Big Brother continues Sunday at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
