Britain’s Got Talent viewers slam Alesha Dixon and say she ‘shouldn’t be a judge’ after the star repeatedly split the vote during semi-finals

Britain’s Got Talent viewers have slammed Alesha Dixon, saying she ‘shouldn’t be a judge’ on the show because she doesn’t give her genuine opinion.

The songstress, 45, who dropped her new single Ransom this week, has been on the judging panel of the ITV show since 2012. 

The panel, also made up of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli, sparked controversy during the live semi-finals over their judges’ vote.

But now, the three-day run of split votes has led to the public accusing Alesha of having a ‘game plan’ as she has voted the opposite of Bruno most nights this week.

Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their disappointment in the judge and her seemingly tactical voting strategy.

They wrote: ‘Alesha Dixon should not be a bgt judge. She doesn’t vote for the best act she just votes for the act Bruno does not vote for because she doesn’t want to vote for the best act. She’s done it all week,’ 

‘Will Alesha just ‘even things up’ again. Instead of doing her job as a judge and actualy (sic) making a choice’

‘Alesha copped out by not voting and by ‘evening up’ you get paid to judge give opinion and SAY WHO YOU WANT and THINK SHOULD BE IN THE FINAL…poor’

‘Without trying to be too rude, what is the point in Alesha having a vote? The judges might as well not be there for semis’

‘Why does Alesha always decide to ‘Even the votes’ Darling you vote for your favourite act – not the other act to make the vote fair.’

Alesha dazzled the audience on Friday when she  took to the stage to single her latest release for an exclusive performance. 

But Magician Trixy embarrassed the singer as he exposed her ‘live’ performance was actually pre-recorded. 

During his jaw-dropping performance, which involved using Amanda Holden’s mobile phone, he asked Bruno Tonioli what time he woke up and popped the number into the calculator. 

He then went to Alesha for her specific number – how many people she thought were sat in the Hammersmith Apollo theatre. 

But when he asked the judge how she was feeling that evening, he let slip that Alesha had pre-recorded her musical performance for the show.

He said to the judge: ‘Alesha, lovely performance by the way.’

Alesha awkwardly giggled under her breath before thanking him. 

The songstress later took to the stage to perform her new track, Ransom in a pre-recorded segment for the show.

Trixy’s comment didn’t go unnoticed as fans were quick to point out the error on X, formerly known as Twitter.

One penned: ‘The magician giving away that Alesha has pre-recorded her performance #BGT #BritainsGotTalent.’

‘Did we miss Alesha’s performance? #BGT #BritainsGotTalent.’…’Magician just revealed Alesha’s performance later is a pre-rec’… ‘So Alesha ain’t performing live then.’

When Alesha performed her hit mash up on stage, the ‘live’ notification box from the show’s stream had disappeared from ITV viewer’s screens.  

Alesha was seen singing her new single Ransom after all eight acts had performed.

As the show went to a break, host Ant McPartlin said: ‘We’ll be right back with an exclusive performance from our very own Alesha Dixon!’

She then burst onto the stage in a jaw-dropping black glittery outfit – having previously been seen in a lime green dress.

After she finished her dazzling performance, Ant told Alesha she had ‘better go and get changed’.

He and his co-host Declan Donnelly then made their way down to the judging table before asking the three remaining judges which finalists they thought had performed well.

While Alesha’s seat remained empty, Simon Cowell replied: ‘First of all, I’ve got to talk about that performance by Alesha.

‘That was seriously seriously good. I’m blown away and good for you, Alesha. That was really really good.’

After another ad break, Alesha reemerged in her stunning lime green gown.
