Britain’s Got Talent viewers in uproar over Amanda Holden’s ‘inappropriate’ final dress | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Amanda Holden has taken yet another risk with her wardrobe choice for the Britain’s Got Talent 2024 grand final this evening. The judge stepped out in a stunning silver dress with a racy plunging neckline, despite previously facing Ofcom complaints for her revealing ensembles on the ITV family show.

It wasn’t long before viewers rushed to X (formerly Twitter) to weigh in on Amanda’s daring gown. One viewer fumed: “Considering it’s a family show…Amanda Holden wears the most inappropriate outfits!!! #BGT.”

Another viewer quipped: “wonder how many complaints there will be about Amanda’s dress tonight?” A third penned: “#BGT Amanda has lots of cleavage going on.”

“#bgt #BritainsGotTalent did Amanda forgot the rest of her outfit?” A fourth viewer tweeted. Despite the backlash, Amanda’s fans were quick to compliment her on the futuristic ensemble when she posed up a storm in the dress before taking to the judges’ desk.

In the Instagram snap, Amanda, 53, lounged by her swimming pool in the sun, highlighting the gown’s dazzling sheer skirt. One admirer gushed in the comments section: “Definitely finished with a bang looking hot beautiful.”

Another social media user praised Amanda for her inventive fashion choices on the ITV show, writing: “Simply STUNNING what are we going to do every night without your fabulous outfits.”

Amanda has shrugged off the criticism over her outfits, recently explaining to The Sun that she sees BGT as “the perfect opportunity to take risks”.

She also revealed that her outfits are closely monitored by ITV producers behind-the-scenes, to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions.

“There’s now a whole body of people that knock on my door and come and stare at my chest before we go on air,” the mum-of-two explained.

“There’s a t*t committee. There are so many brilliant people, they come down, knock on the door and there’s the lady who’s the producer who said, ‘Mandy, it looks great’.”

During tonight’s final, one lucky act will receive a huge cash prize of £250,000 and a spot at the Royal Variety Performance.

One of the favourites to win the 2024 series is 28-year-old singer Sydnie Christmas, who was Amanda’s Golden Buzzer act during the auditions, and won the semi-final on Thursday night.

Sydnie told ITV News: “I cannot believe the way this has gone. You can’t compare each other to anyone because everyone is their own act.

“That’s the beautiful thing of it. And that is why I love this competition. My main thing would be performing at the Royal Variety. If I was to do that, oh my god, I would cry.”
