Most people take well designed buildings for granted, from easy to find doors to level ceilings.
So it’s certainly alarming when buildings look terrifyingly badly built, such as these bizarre architecture fails from around the world collated by Bored Panda.
They include a scary bathroom experience, where a builder put the toilet in an old elevator shaft and used glass flooring, offering zero privacy.
Elsewhere, a housing complex, in Montreal, Canada, was built in 1967 to allow natural light into all four sides of the flat. However it looks more like Soviet architecture.
Meanwhile a college house, in the US, was designed with an emergency exit slide instead of stairs.
Another architect, in Amsterdam, created colourful wooden houses which look like something straight out of a cartoon.
