Beattie Passive files administration notice

Just 12 months ago the company went on a recruitment drive at its factory to fill 40 new construction roles at its offsite manufacturing facility in Norwich.

The firm was founded more than 10 years ago by Passivhaus pioneer and environmentalist Ron Beattie.

After inventing his Passivhaus build system Beattie said: “I wanted to bring about change in every sector. There’s no point having a build system that cannot be used for any building shape or size. It had to be suitable for the construction of schools, offices, and homes.”

Last year Beattie won a coveted place on a £600m modern methods of construction framework for new home building run by procurement body LHC.

It also had places on the Offsite Homes Alliance £2bn offsite national modular construction framework and has been named as a supplier for two lots on the Crown Commercial Service’s off-site construction solutions framework.

Data and credit checking specialist Red Flag Alert highlighted the firms’ administration notice with its regular checks of high court construction insolvency applications.
