A video on Instagram of an air hostess from Emirates airlines trying on a pair of Apple Vision Pro on flight has gone viral. The reel on Instagram is from Italian digital creator Otto Climan. The video shows the Emirates airlines air hostess getting fascinated by Apple Vision Pro when she notices it during a flight.
The air hostess is visibly surprised when she sees Climan with the device. Initially, she declines Climan’s offer to try it, stating that she only wanted his opinion. However, she soon relents.
She exclaims, “You’re the first person I have seen with this,” adding that she had only seen people using it on TikTok.
After a short trial, the air hostess returns the Apple Vision Pro to Climan, thanking him enthusiastically. She is clearly thrilled to have had the chance to experience the mixed reality headset.
What Emirates Airline said on the video
Emirates Airlines too joined the fun. Responding to the video, Emirates wrote, “We wanna try too!”
Apple launched what it calls its Spatial Computer, Vision Pro, late last month. The base variant of the headset, with 256GB storage, is priced at $3,499 (approximately Rs 2,90,000). The Apple Vision Pro headset has launched only in the US so far.
Some customers are returning Apple Vision Pro
There have been recent reports of customers returning the product due to discomfort, lack of productivity tools, and other issues. Apple’s US Sales and Refund Policy states all products must be returned within 14 days of purchase to be eligible for a refund or an exchange, and the Apple Vision Pro is included in that.
According to The Verge, “some Vision Pro early adopters have already packed the devices up and sent them back for a refund. Reasons we’ve heard include eye fatigue, few useful apps available so far, and a lack of window / workspace persistence.” Additionally, users have expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of productivity applications on the platform.
