All the roadworks in Hull next week including closures and temporary signals

Drivers in Hull should be prepared for several planned roadworks next week, including closures.

The list of works happening from July 5 includes ongoing improvements to the A63 and gas upgrades in Holderness Road which has resulted in minor delays due to temporary traffic lights. The A63 has planned overnight closures on the weekend of July 12.

Other busy routes being affected are Country Road North and Ings Road. Drivers should plan alternative routes or allow extra time if necessary.

Here is the full list of upcoming and existing roadworks for w/c July 8:

• Holderness Road will have a contraflow from Laburnum Avenue to Summergangs Road until August during the gas main replacement by Northern Gas Networks.

• Holderness Road will have temporary traffic lights due to a gas main replacement at the junction of Southcoates Lane. Lights will be manually operated between 7am – 11pm

• The A63 will be closed on 12 July and 14 July from 8pm – 6am. To find out more, visit the National Highways website.

• Anlaby Park Road North will have multi-way signals during Hull City Council works to the existing Toucan crossing near the junction of Sibelius Road until July 14.

• Country Road North will be closed from July 6 until August 9 as Northern Gas Networks update gas infrastructure near the junction of National Avenue (outside 20 to opposite 83).

• Langdale Avenue will be closed until August 9 due to Northern Gas Networks updating its gas infrastructure.

• Laburnum Avenue will be shut at the junction with Holderness Road from June 24 until July 8 for Northern Gas Networks to carry out a gas main replacement.

• Ings Road will have multi-way signals until July 21 for the installation of zebra crossing and pedestrian crossings near Tween Dykes Road by Hull City Council.

This comes after it was reported gas works on Boothferry Road have been delayed due to “engineering difficulties” and now have an estimated completion date of July 14. Northern Gas Networks said it will work hard to fix the problem and added: “We would like to apologise to local residents and businesses in the Boothferry Road area.”
