The A52 was closed in both directions for several hours due to a serious collision. Police closed the busy route between the A46 (Saxondale) and A1 (Grantham) in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, June 29).
The incident was first reported by Highways East Midlands just before 2am this morning. The road remained closed until just before 8am this morning.
In its latest update on X, formerly Twitter, a spokesperson for Highways East Midlands posted just after 5.35am to say: “The A52 remains closed in both directions between the A46 (Saxondale) and A1 (Grantham). @lincsPolice are on scene carrying out collision investigation, the road is expected to remain closed into the morning.”

A tweet reads: “The A52 in Lincolnshire is closed in both directions between the A46 (Saxondale) and A1 (Grantham) due to a serious collision.
