A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was stabbed inside a property.
Officers were initially called to Grosvenor Road in Hyde at around 11pm on Friday (June 28) due to the ‘concern for the welfare’ of a woman.
After police attended, a different woman was stabbed inside the property. She was rushed to hospital, where she remains with life-changing injuries.

The man remains in police custody for questioning.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: “At around 11pm on Friday 28 June 2024, we were called to Grosvenor Road in Hyde due to the concern for the welfare of a woman.
“After our officers attended and were later taking witness accounts, another woman was stabbed inside the property. Following treatment, she is thankfully now in a stable condition but with injuries believed to be life changing.
“A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody for questioning at this time.
“Following previous police contact, in-line with normal procedure, the matter has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.”
