Armed police have descended on a road in Salford this evening, with a cordon in place.
Officers have taped off Gladstone Road in Eccles on Friday evening (June 28). The exact nature of the incident is currently unclear.
Pictures show multiple police cars stationed at the junction of Liverpool Road and Gladstone Road, with a number of officers stationed at the scene.

It is not currently known when the road will reopen.
