Trains through Leicestershire to and from London were “heavily disrupted” this afternoon (Thursday June 20) after a person was hit by a train. East Midlands Railway (EMR) said that its line in both directions between Kettering and Luton was closed.
This caused delays to trains scheduled to arrive and depart from Leicester and Market Harborough today. EMR said it had arranged “ticket acceptance” on alternative routes.
