Loose Women panellist Ruth Langsford, who recently announced her split from husband Eamonn Holmes, took to her Instagram page to share a new selfie with fans
Ruth Langsford took to social media to share a quick cryptic post after her split from Eamonn Holmes was announced.
The ITV presenter and GB News star Eamonn shocked fans when they announced their separation on social media in recent days. The former couple, who had been together for more than two decades, shared that they had separated in a joint statement on Saturday. It read: “[They] have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
Ever since the announcement, the duo resumed their normal posting on their Instagram pages, with Ruth sharing glimpses into her work day at QVC. The Loose Women panellist, 64, spent the morning doing a ‘Design Day’ with QVC and shared a mirror selfie taken in an elevator.
She rocked an entire outfit from her range and smiled at the camera while waiting for the lift to move. She simply captioned the post: “Yes… It had to be done!” The presenter also added Naughty Boy’s popular song with Emeli Sande, Lifted, onto the Instagram Story post.
It comes after it was reported that Ruth was recently seen wearing her wedding ring. The 64-year-old was in Surrey and appeared to be wearing her ring while running errands. And she appeared to be in good spirits, with her seen smiling in one of the recent photos shared online.
It comes after Eamonn returned to work on GB News earlier this week and appeared to also still be sporting his wedding ring. He fronted the channel’s breakfast show alongside his co-host Isabel Webster on Tuesday morning.
Ruth and Eamonn – who are known for having previously presented ITV’s This Morning together – are understood to have begun her relationship after meeting through a mutual friend back in 1997. More than a decade later, the pair got married in 2010 and Ruth later noted on an episode of Loose Women, which was broadcast in 2016, that they had been together a “long, long time” before they tied the knot.
The former couple are parents to son Jack Holmes, 22. The family also includes Eamonn’s three older children from a previous marriage. The news of their separation comes after weeks of fan speculation. Over the last few months, fans have taken to the former couple’s pages and questioned why they don’t appear on each other’s pages.
It wasn’t until a few days ago that Ruth and Eamonn revealed they made the decision to part ways after decades together.
