Armed police are searching York for two wanted men today (Sunday).
Police have issued an urgent appeal to find the men, who are wanted in connection with the corrosive substance attack on Friday.
Joshua Anthony Strickland, 29, and Robinson Peter Fitch Binks, 26, are suspected of being involved in the incident.
The attack left a local man aged in his 30s with serious burn injuries over his back.
It is a believed a corrosive substance was thrown at the victim who had to undergo emergency treatment. He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A 41-year-old local woman has already been arrested in connection with the incident and released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Intensive police searches and enquiries are ongoing in the effort to bring Strickland and Binks into custody.
“To support this, we are urging people to report sightings and information about either man as a matter of urgency.”

As part of the search operation, at least seven heavily armed officers were deployed on Stockton Lane in Heworth shortly after 10am this morning (Sunday).
They were at the junction with Seymour Grove.
The police helicopter was hovering above the scene, and a police dog unit was also in attendance.
Police also went to Dodsworth Avenue. A witness, who said they shut the road, saw unmarked cars, lots of armed police, the helicopter and police dogs.
