“2018: Everyone is a Hero,” the Malayalam film that was selected as India’s entry in the international feature film category for the 2024 Academy Awards, got eliminated from the Oscars competition. Director Jude Anthany Joseph’s creation could not secure a spot in the shortlist of 15 films for the category, as revealed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), as per media reports.
Meanwhile, biopic centred on Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist behind the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, has garnered nominations in 13 categories, including ‘Best Film’, ‘Best Director’, and ‘Best Adapted Screenplay’.
