Samsung just announced its all-new Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ phones during a glitzy Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this week. With the new handsets scheduled to hit store shelves at the end of the month, Samsung will pay you to pick last year’s Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ instead.
Yes, really. For a limited time, Samsung is offering £100 cashback to anyone who purchases the Galaxy S23 series while the latest-and-greatest Galaxy S24 are available for preorder.
Not only that, but you’ll be able to claim a pair of wireless Galaxy Buds FE (worth £99) for free and a 12-month subscription to Disney+ worth £109.90. It’s a giveaway worth £308.90.
Both offers are brilliant, but they’re made even better by the fact that Samsung discounted the Galaxy S23 by £150 when its successor was announced, dropping the price tag from £849 down to £699. Unfortunately, the same discount wasn’t applied to the Galaxy S23+, which still costs £1,049.
Samsung Galaxy S23 shares a lot in common with its successor, which was announced during a Galaxy Unpacked keynote on January 17, 2024
SAMSUNG PRESS OFFICE
To take advantage of the Galaxy S23 offer, you’ll need to order before January 24, 2024. Proof of purchase must be sent to Samsung via this webpage and make a claim within 30 days.
Once it’s been approved, Samsung will send £100 cashback, a code for an annual Disney+ subscription, and Galaxy Buds FE, which are only available in white.
Galaxy S23 has a very similar design to its successor, with a triple-camera capable of ultra-wide shots, Portrait Mode-style images and videos, slow-motion, and more. The front and rear panels are protected with durable Gorilla Glass Victus 2 strengthened glass from Corning.
Samsung has fitted an AMOLED screen with 120Hz high refresh-rate for silky-smooth scrolling and system animations. It’s an always-on display too, so you’ll be able to check the date and time, incoming notifications, and upcoming calendar appointments without waking the phone.
Wireless and wired fast-charging are supported, plus Samsung guarantees four years of security and Android updates with its Galaxy S23 series.
There’s a lot of shared DNA between the Galaxy S23 and the just-announced Galaxy S24 range, which feature slightly bigger batteries and displays, new colours, as well as a slew of clever new AI features to edit photos and videos, translate phone calls in real-time, and help you compose the perfect text message.
