A woman was taken to hospital after police were called over concerns for her welfare on the M60 this morning.
Police and paramedics were called to the clockwise carriageway of the motorway near junction 27 and junction one in Stockport at around 8.45am. Two lanes were closed off as emergency crews responded.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said the woman was taken to hospital after suffering injuries ‘not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing’. The motorway has since been fully reopened.

A GMP spokesperson said: “At approximately 8:45am today (Thursday 4 January 2024), officers were called to reports of a concern for welfare of a woman on the M60 near junction 27/junction 1.
“She has since been taken to hospital with injuries, although these are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.”
