Motorola has enjoyed a resurgence in recent years, thanks to its brilliant budget-conscious phones.
One of these Android handsets — the Motorola G32 — has plummeted to a record-low price in Amazon’s blockbuster Boxing Day sale. Usually £169.99, the phone is available for just £89.
This is the first time we’ve seen the Motorola G32 drop below £100 in the UK. Since it’s a SIM-free model, you’ll be able to pair the handset with your current SIM and monthly plan or buy any SIM-Only deal from a UK network.
Motorola has fitted the handset with true stereo speakers — a rarity at this price point — coupled with Dolby Atmos support

Motorola G32 boasts an expansive 6.5-inch screen that extends to the very edges of the design. At 405 pixels-per-inch, it packs enough density that you’ll be unable to see the individual pixels on-screen at a normal viewing distance. Your favourite boxsets, Hollywood blockbusters, mobile games, and ebooks should look crisp and packed with detail on that LCD display.
Motorola has supercharged the screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The majority of phones in this price bracket max-out at 60Hz, so you’ll notice the smoother animations, jitter-free scrolling, and slick fast-paced gameplay afforded by the higher refresh-rate on the G32.
On the back, Motorola has fitted its budget handset with a triple-camera array with a 50-megapixel main sensor capable of shooting Portrait Mode-style shots with a bokeh-like blur to the background. There’s also an ultrawide camera and a macro sensor for close-up pictures. Capturing video from the triple-camera set-up maxes out at 1080p, so don’t expect to shoot any 4K Ultra HD footage with your new G32.
Selfies are handled by the 16-megapixel camera housed in a small hole punch-like cutout in the edge-to-edge screen. And everything is powered by a Snapdragon 680 system-on-a-chip from Qualcomm, coupled with 4GB of RAM.
Admittedly, that’s not the most powerful combo found in budget Android phones, but it’ll get the job done.
There’s a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W wired fast charging. Sadly, there’s no fast-charging plug in the box, so you’ll need to buy that separately. Motorola has fitted the handset with stereo speakers — one of the only phones in its price bracket with true stereo speaker support — and Dolby Atmos.
Motorola says its G32 is designed to “amplify your entertainment” and given the high pixel-density and refresh-rate of the display, coupled with the stereo speakers and Dolby certification …it seems to have its priorities in the correct places to do just that.
As you’d expect with a phone at this price, some compromises have been made. The Motorola G32 arrives with Android 12 preinstalled. It’s possible to upgrade manually to Android 13, but that’s still one version away from the latest-and-greatest operating system from Google. There’s no word on whether the G32 will ever get the bump to Android 14, let alone the inevitable Android 15 update coming in 2024.
If you don’t fancy a handset from Motorola, the rival Nokia G21 has dropped to £100 in the Amazon sale. That’s down from its usual price of £159.99. It boasts almost identical hardware to the Motorola G32, with a 6.5-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh-rate, 4GB of RAM, a 50-megapixel main camera, and fast charging.
But the Nokia claims a three-day battery life with its handset. However, the iconic 90s phone brand only promises three years of updates for the phone — not the three-years available from Motorola.
