Live updates as man is seriously injured in Bishopston attack

Police officers closed a , following a serious incident on the morning of Wednesday, December 27. Roads were taped off in the area to allow for a police investigation after a man was stabbed on Boxing Day.

The wounded man, in his 20s was taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after having been found in the Bishop Road area. His next-of-kin have been informed of his condition.




Avon and Somerset Police said: “Officers and ambulance crews attended at about 10.50pm. There was a report that a group of people, all dressed in black, were seen running out of Bishop Road into Gloucester Road.

“If you were in Bishop Road or Gloucester Road between 10.15pm and 11pm and saw a group of people hanging around, spotted anyone acting suspiciously, or have any dashcam, CCTV or other footage which could help the investigation please call 101 and give the reference 5223314883.”
