Arsenal are already back in Premier League action this evening as they prepare for a trip to face Luton Town. The Gunners secured their fifth consecutive victory over the weekend against Wolves with another three points taking them four clear of Manchester City at the top following their chaotic 3-3 draw against Tottenham.
In that game, carnage ensued in the final minutes when referee Simon Hooper blew his whistle for a foul on Erling Haaland despite initially playing advantage with Jack Grealish through on goal. As a result, the Man City star was left furious and his reaction could end up costing Pep Guardiola with a possible suspension and fine on the way.
Elsewhere, with City dropping points again, Roy Keane has provided an updated Premier League title verdict with a clear Arsenal message. Jurrien Timber has also given a huge update on his injury recovery with the Arsenal defender making it clear when he hopes to return.
Here are your Arsenal morning headlines on Tuesday, December 5:
Haaland suspension risk
Erling Haaland could be absent for an upcoming Manchester City game if the FA follow the same punishment handed out to Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk.
Following his dismissal in August against Newcastle, the Netherlands international was fined with his suspension increased for using “abusive and insulting” words. While it was unclear exactly what Haaland said to Hooper both at the time of the incident and after the full time whistle, expletives were certainly used.

And based on that, it is entirely possible he faces a one-match ban at some point during the Christmas period. Pep Guardiola is already without Jack Grealish and Rodri for the trip to Villa Park on Wednesday evening and the absence of his star striker could be another detrimental blow.
Keane makes title claim
Roy Keane has delivered a significant update to his Premier League title prediction following Manchester City’s chaotic 3-3 draw against Tottenham.
Following a chaotic final few minutes, the result means Man City have now drawn three consecutive games and sit third following Liverpool’s dramatic late win against Fulham which placed them second with the Gunners top of the pile.
Many pundits, including Keane, had backed Pep Guardiola’s side to take home their fourth consecutive title, however the Manchester United legend appears to have had a slight change of heart.

Timber injury update
Jurrien Timber has admitted he hopes to make a return from injury for Arsenal before the end of the 2023/24 season. The Netherlands international picked up a long-term ACL problem during the Premier League opener against Nottingham Forest with surgery required to fix the issue.
The versatile defender signed from Ajax in the summer for £38million and played just under 150 minutes of football before he was stricken down with injury.
Given the extent of the damage, there were fears he would not feature for the remainder of the campaign, with reports in Dutch media suggesting as such, however Timber himself has given a huge update on when he could be back, along with some insight into his recovery.
