Heavy traffic is building on a stretch of the M60 this morning after a crash.
Motorway police are responding to a collision on the clockwise carriageway between junction 17 and junction 16 near Clifton. Lanes three and four are ‘obstructed’, officers said.
Motorway cameras show long queues building as we head into morning rush-hour. Traffic is also queuing on other stretches of the M60 due to the rainy and icy weather.

North West Motorway Police said: “Patrols are making to reports of an RTC on the #M60 C/W between J17 & J16. Lanes 3 & 4 are currently obstructed.”
