Kenny Miller demolishes Rangers penalty moan from Steven Naismith as Hearts boss told the REAL ‘block’ timeline

Rangers hero Kenny Miller has ripped apart Steven Naismith’s penalty gripe after the Hearts boss claimed Peter Haring was “blocked” before the controversial foul.

The Jambos collapsed at Ibrox following the flashpoint with Lawrence Shankland’s goal overturned by James Tavernier’s penalty kick and Danilo’s injury time winner. Tavernier landed the chance from the spot for the second time in the Scottish Premiership showdown – having missed a first half penalty – when John Beaton decided to point to punish Peter Haring for a tug on Connor Goldson following a VAR review.

But the Hearts gaffer insisted it was Haring who was fouled first by Goldson’s team-mate John Lundstram with a “clear block” – and claimed the ref was not provided with a clip long enough to show it happening by the team in the VAR room. However, speaking on Sportscene Miller urged his former Rangers teammate to watch the footage again.

The pundit stated that Haring’s pull in the box came well before any contract was made with Lundstram. Asked about Naismith’s comments post-match, Miller said: “Listen, I think it is a penalty.

“I think when Steven looks at it back he will see, yes there is a block – John Lundstram is moving towards Peter Haring to block him – but what you also see is Peter Haring has a lot of Connor Goldson’s shirt way before the block. He touches him and he is nowhere near John Lundstram. He pulls (Goldson) and there is very little contract from John Lundstram.

“He has a full hand full of Connor Goldson’s shirt, and it’s a penalty for me. The shirt pull was way before the initial block, and I think when Steven sees it back he will realise it’s Peter Haring who has made a mistake. There is no getting away with these types of things.”
